New Orleans, LA--The Florida Gators came up big when it counted beating BYU in overtime 83 to 74. Jimmer Fredette, one of the best NCAA shooting guards and the nation's top scorer, was once again trying to carry his team to a win. He scored 32 points on a 11 of 29 shooting and 3 of 15 from three point range. But in overtime, Fredette and his legs could not hold up. He was responsible for two turnovers and missed two critical three pointers. The Gators defense allowed the Cougars to score a dismal four points. The Gators scored 15 points and locked up a spot in the Elite Eight round. They will face Butler Saturday night.
